UKPN's Local Net Zero team is holding a kick-off webinar to support officers and local leaders' Net Zero plans.
Christopher Hammond, UK100 Chief Executive, is pleased to be joining UK Power Networks on Thursday, 5 October to help kick-start their Regional Engagement Sessions with local authorities from across London, the East and South East.
We know many local authorities have ambitious plans to decarbonise electricity in the areas they serve, and it is UK Power Networks’ responsibility to make sure the electricity network they own and operate is Net Zero ready.
These sessions, hosted by the Distribution System Operator’s Local Net Zero team throughout October, are designed to understand local authorities’ plans for low-carbon technologies so that they can work to ensure sufficient electricity capacity to facilitate the anticipated uptake of electric vehicles (EVs), heat pumps and renewables generation across their region.
The kick-off event is a perfect opportunity to join us and fellow councils to learn more about the range of free services that the Local Net Zero team has on offer.
Book here [eventbrite.co.uk] for the kick-off webinar at 10 am on 5 October. This will be followed by local online sessions from 10-26 October – contact the Local Net Zero team at LAEP@ukpowernetworks.co.uk to find out more and book a place.
Wherever you are in your decarbonisation journey, you are welcome to join us and find out more. We look forward to seeing you there.
